Sunday Shopping Steals!

The weekend is coming to a close and as I sit down with a nice glass of red wine and I watch a movie with Molly, I thought I would share some of my Sunday Shopping Steals! As you know I love a good bargain, and today was no exception. I have to say I will be sorry to see the Summer go and have much enjoyed showing off my toes in sandals come rain or shine in the somewhat unpredictable weather of the Irish Summer. That said I am looking forward to the prospect of a wardrobe change-up and reintroducing winter woollies, scarves, boots, pumps and tights. I feel that once tights enter into the equation, Autumn is officially here meaning that accessories, tops and jeans get a new lease of life with an autumnal kick! Over the weekend I picked up some really nice (and cheap!) accessories. I'm all about mixing up expensive splurge items with cheap stylish accessories and accents. Just because it was cheap doesn't mean it has to look cheap!

Footloose
Whilst in Penneys (Primark in the UK) I picked up two really cute pairs of pumps. When I am buying pumps I am pretty fussy and like a pair that are soft and easy to wear in. I hate shoes that hurt and that need 'breaking in'. I want immediate happiness and shoes I can wear and admire from the get go. Both of the pairs below are soft and painless. I love these suede effect animal print pumps. Perfect with a pair of skinny black jeans. These patent toe pumps are perfect for work and will look great with opaque black tights and dresses. At €8 a pair...no doubt they are a steal!

Billy Jean...
I am very happy to report that Penneys have also started stocking 'Ultra Soft Super Skinny Jeans'. These jeans are actually amazing! I have had major issues with Penneys jeans in the past and found that they didn't hold their shape and that although they said 'skinny' they weren't skinny enough for my liking. I like skinny jeans that are soft and super tight particularly around my ankles. As a result for the last couple of years I have been spending €60 plus on jeans from Topshop. However, this week I was very pleasantly suprised to find that Penneys have upped their game and have introduced these ultra soft skinny jeans. These jeans are available in a range of denim colours and finishes. I picked up a black, navy and distressed dark denim pair. I have to say I am delighted with them. They hold their shape, wash well, are very tight on the legs (in a good way!) and at €15...what's not to love! Watch out when picking these up, you are looking for Ultra Soft- Super Skinny. I say this because Penneys also stack Super Skinny and coloured Skinnys which are not quite as narrow at the bottom! Happy browsing.

Scarf Star
Scarves are such an important part of my wardrobe. A really nice patterned scarf can make or break an outfit. Penneys have a ridiculously large range of scarves this year leaving us spoilt for choice. From light chiffons, to chunky knits there really is something for everyone. Snoods are back again this year and Penneys have not failed to deliver a great range, in jersey materials and winter knits. I picked up two really wide and long striped snoods (pictured below). I find these really handy when out and about, they are so easy to wear and are soft and warm. I also love this really dainty bow snood in pink jersey. This owl print scarf is really light material and can be worn and incorporated into a dressy or casual ensemble.  Each of the sacrves/snoods pictured below were €4.....bargain!
