Juice Challenge Day 4: Veggie Vessel

The one handed juicing continues. I have been icing, heating and elevating my wrist all day in the hope that the pain will soon begin to subside. One handed typing, Molly's help and a handful of paracetamol has made it all possible. I am very optimistic that all the natural goodness in this 'Veggie Vessel' will in some way contribute to the healing process!

The Veggie Vessel

4 Carrots
1 Red Pepper
2 handfuls of spinach, watercress and rocket mixed leaves
2 inch slice of ginger root
2 inch Broccoli stalk
1 orange
1/2 lemon
1 apple

1. Pack the leaves tightly between the apple and orange and juice.
2. Then juice the remainder of the ingredients.

This juice is packed full of vegetables and in contrast to the juices at the beginning of the week is more vegetable than fruit juice. As discussed in yesterdays post there are less natural sugars in vegetable juices meaning they are packed full of goodness but not high in sugars. This juice has an 'earthier' taste than the previous juices but the zing of the lemon and spice of the ginger combine with the other ingredients to make a really tasty juice!
