Perfect Packaging

Baking is off the cards for me at the moment with my tendonitis, I've had to cut back on the blogging as I am now relying on others to type for me..... I know, how annoying am I! I luckily have the best mother and boyfriend on the planet to assist me in my endeavour. Shaud and I went to pick up a few groceries this morning and to pick up a few things for the house.  I was happy to spot that Dealz have opened a store in our local shopping centre in Shannon and it was just the pick me up I needed. Anyone who knows me, knows my obsession with bargain hunting and pound/euro shops. I LOVE them, and you may have noticed that Dealz (Poundland in the U.K) is a real favourite of mine at the moment. Today I picked up all sorts of everything for packaging my creations.

Cake Slice Boxes
These are perfect not just for slices of cake, but can be used for trinkets or jewellery wrapped in tissue as an alternative to wrapping paper. This box features a really pretty butterfly detail and lovely white and embossed silver design.

Cupcake Cases and Flags
These were such good value, at €1.49 for a pack of 200 cases, they are pretty impressive! There were lots of pretty patterns available, including princess and pirate themed sets for kids. I decided to pick up these spotty numbers and a set featuring cupcake cases and matching flag decoration sticks. I also spotted these cool cardboard wraps, they are available in pink and blue are embossed with really nice detail. These cupcake wraps come in a pack of 10 for €1.49.

Trinket Bags
I found two different types of trinket bags. The first are little cloth bags which feature a delicate spotted pattern and drawstring. They are also available in gold. These are perfect for jewellery or handmade sweets. These come in pack of 6 for €1.49. I also found these plastic bags with a pretty gold star pattern complete with a cream ribbon which can be pulled into a bow. These come in a pack of 20 and are perfect for handmade chocolates, truffles, or cake pops!

All of the above were €1.49 per pack. I'm thinking well ahead and picking up some bits and pieces for packaging my Christmas presents. I love making Cinnamon Shortbread and truffles and other tasty treats as presents at Christmas times and these packaging ideas are perfect for wrapping up your creations to give as gifts.

E-D's Notes:
Thanks again to Shaud for typing for me.....she really is going above and beyond the call of duty this week.
